to use their own equipment in the work place.
PUWER requires that
equipment provided for use at work is:
- Must be fully functional for its
intended use
- The equipment must be safe to
use, on top condition for safe use and double checked.
- The equipment should only be
used by those who are fully trained for it.
- Accompanied by suitable health
and safety measures, such as protective devices and controls. These will
normally include emergency stop devices, adequate means of isolation from
sources of energy, clearly visible markings and warning devices
